Rates - to produce corporate films

Rates : corporate films and videos for information, training or promotional purposes.

The previous fee of 1 euro (excluding VAT) per second is increased as of January 1st, 2010 to 2 euros per second to include the right to communicate the corporate films and videos on to web site and intranet. The authorization is valid for seven URL. For any complementary web site and intranet, you will need to obtain an authorization through www.sesam.org and fill in your request online.

The 2 euros per second fee includes, as previously, the possibility to reproduce the corporate film on to 50 copies and use them for professional means.
 

• SACEM Repertoire
  For the first 50 copies: a flat fee of 2 euros (excluding VAT) per second.
  
  Over 50 copies, this is increased by:

51-100 copies	€1 / second + 10%)= €2.10 per second
101-500 copies	€2.25 / second
501-1000 copies	€2.5 / second
1 001-2000 copies	€3 / second
2 001-10 000 copies	€4 / second
10 001-50 000 copies	€7 / second
> 50 000 copies	€12 / second

The previous fee of 1 euro per second will still apply for reproduction of the corporate film for professional means, without communication on to a web site and intranet.

Over 50 copies, this is increased by:

51-100 copies	€1 / second + 10 % = €1.10 / second
101-500 copies	€1 / second + 25 % = €1.25 / second
501-1000 copies	€1 / second + 50 % = €1.50 / second
1 001-2000 copies	€1 / second + 100 % = €2 / second
2 001-10 000 copies	€1 / second + 200 % = €3 / second
10 001-50 000 copies	€1 / second + 500 % = € 6 / second
> 50 000 copies	€1 / second + 1000 % = € 11 / second

• SCAM Repertoire
  For the first 50 copies: a flat fee of €0.50 (excluding VAT) per second with a minimum payment of €100.
  
  Over 50 copies, this is increased by:

51-100 copies	10%
101-200 copies	20%
201-400 copies	40%
401-600 copies	60%
601-800 copies	80%
801-1 000 copies	100%
1 001-2 500 copies	250%
2 501-5 000 copies	500%
5 001-10 000 copies	1000%
10 001-50 000 copies	1500%
50 001-100 000 copies	2000%

The fees listed here do not include VAT (+5.5%) or compulsory Social Security charges for authors (+1%). To calculate the fee due (including VAT and social security), simply multiply the fee (excluding VAT) by 1.065.

Example of fee calculations (excluding VAT and Social Security charges):
For a film with a total playing time of 10 minutes (i.e. 600 seconds), by a film director whose rights are administered by SCAM, reproducing 3 minutes (180 seconds) of music from SACEM repertoire, and with 80 copies made:

• SACEM repertoire (180" x €1) x 10% (additional charge for 51-100 copies) = 198 € excluding VAT
• SCAM repertoire (600" x €0.50) x 10% (additional charge for 51-100 copies) = 330 € excluding VAT
  

i.e. a total fee of 528 € (excluding VAT).
