Repertoires
With the exception of the works listed as “Public Domain” and “Owner Currently Unknown” which do not incur charges, SDRM represents the repertoires of three societies of Authors:
- SACEM
- SACD
- SCAM
- SACEM
- SACD
- SCAM
SACEM (Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music)
SACEM administers the works of music by its members, with or without lyrics, both French and international, or covered by reciprocity contracts concluded between SACEM and societies of authors outside France.
The same conditions also apply to :
- poems and sketches
- documentary works on a musical subject only
- excerpts of dramatic works and musical dramas running under 20 minutes for television and under 25 minutes for radio
- the dubbing and sub-titling of foreign films
- productions of audiovisual works with works from the SACEM repertoire (e.g. music video clips).
SACD (Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers)
SACD manages works whose rights have been entrusted to it by members, either by mandate, or by contribution, as well as those whose rights have been entrusted to it for its territories of intervention by foreign societies.
They are mainly:
- theatrical works, dramatic, dramatic-musical, operatic or choreographic in nature, sketches, as well as realisations for television of these same works
- audiovisual works written and directed for television or the cinema and mainly drama series, serials and miniseries, animated cartoons, animated series and dialogues, sketches, feature-length and short cinematographic films.
SCAM (Société civile des auteurs multimédia)
SCAM manages the works whose rights have been entrusted to it:
- by contribution, by its members
- by mandate, by publishers
either directly, or by MoU signed with SCELF (Société Civile de l'Édition Littéraire Française).
They include:
- audiovisual works (cinema or television) documentary and docudrama in natur
- new images: video creations, CG images, animated collages...
- interactive multimedia works: CD-Rom, DVDs, networks (Minitel, Internet, online services...)
- Still images: photographs, illustrations, graphics, drawings...
- Audio works, non musical, especially documentaries and docudramas
- Written works: literary, journalistic, scientific...
