This is for professional producers and is based on standard agreements specifically stipulating the relations between the producer and SDRM.

SACEM Repertoire

Rates for Music Repertoire
The producer chooses one of two options:
 

  • Option 1: 2.16%, a flat rate applied to the entire video
  • Option 2: 6.48%, calculated in proportion to the length of the works protected by copyright in relation to the total playing time of the video (this option is valid for a minimum of one year)

Rates for Dubbing and Sub-Titling
0.24%, a flat rate applied to the entire video

Base for Calculating the Licence Fee
The producer's net sales figure (excluding VAT) for each reference

Note - the base per copy must be equal to or greater than the minimum amounts scaled as follows:

  • Videocassettes < 45 minutes: €2.8965
  • Videocassettes 45-80 minutes: €3.8112
  • Videocassettes > 80 minutes: €4.8784

DVDs

  • For sale: €8.8421
  • For rental: €15.2449

Copies provided free of charge and exempted from the licence fee
200 copies per reference, stamped with the compulsory reference “echantillon gratuit, ne peut être loué ou vendu” [free sample, not for rental or sale].

SACD and SCAM Repertoires

Music or comedy videos / SNEP/SEV/SDRM standard agreement for sale and rental for private use

Rate and base: 6.5% of the wholesale price (excluding VAT); the rate calculated is in proportion to the length of the works protected by copyright in relation to the total playing time of the video and does not cover the directors’ rights; the price is the highest (excluding VAT) for the period considered.

Note - the base per copy must be equal to or greater than the minimum amounts scaled as follows:

  • Videocassettes: €0.4573 (excluding VAT)
  • DVDs: €0.7622 (excluding VAT)

Copies free of charge or exempted from the licence fee
500 copies per reference, stamped with the compulsory reference “echantillon gratuit, ne peut être loué ou vendu” [free sample, not for rental or sale].
