Rates for Music Repertoire
The producer chooses one of two options:
- Option 1: 2.16%, a flat rate applied to the entire video
- Option 2: 6.48%, calculated in proportion to the length of the works protected by copyright in relation to the total playing time of the video (this option is valid for a minimum of one year)
Rates for Dubbing and Sub-Titling
0.24%, a flat rate applied to the entire video
Base for Calculating the Licence Fee
The producer's net sales figure (excluding VAT) for each reference
Note - the base per copy must be equal to or greater than the minimum amounts scaled as follows:
- Videocassettes < 45 minutes: €2.8965
- Videocassettes 45-80 minutes: €3.8112
- Videocassettes > 80 minutes: €4.8784
DVDs
- For sale: €8.8421
- For rental: €15.2449
Copies provided free of charge and exempted from the licence fee
200 copies per reference, stamped with the compulsory reference “echantillon gratuit, ne peut être loué ou vendu” [free sample, not for rental or sale].
SACD and SCAM Repertoires
Music or comedy videos / SNEP/SEV/SDRM standard agreement for sale and rental for private use
Note - the base per copy must be equal to or greater than the minimum amounts scaled as follows:
- Videocassettes: €0.4573 (excluding VAT)
- DVDs: €0.7622 (excluding VAT)
Copies free of charge or exempted from the licence fee
500 copies per reference, stamped with the compulsory reference “echantillon gratuit, ne peut être loué ou vendu” [free sample, not for rental or sale].
