Already historic : WHEN LOVE TAKES OVER At the top of the charts - I GOTTA FEELING At the top of US sales

For the first time in almost 10 years, a French song has soared to the top in singles sales in Great Britain. This is a rare feat. When love takes over is also number 1 in US ‘clubs’, at the top of the charts all over Europe, in first place in the Top 20 in China, in second place in the top singles in France.
For EMI France, it comes after Charles Aznavour’s She, number 1 in 1974, 35 years ago.

I gotta feeling, also composed by David Guetta and Frédéric Riesterer for the group The Black-Eyed Peas is number 1 in US sales.

SACEM learned with great pleasure of David Guetta and Frédéric Riesterer’s well-deserved success.

This reward is further proof, in these difficult times for our professions, of the capacity for French creative works to make it across borders.

It is all the more satisfying that this international success is in an innovative, universal genre, far from our patrimonial tradition.
